A New Way to Pay for Parking:
Use a Credit or Debit Card and Go Ticketless

You can now use your credit or debit card as your ticket in and out of the Airport Garage. The ticket machines at the entrances and exits to the Airport Garage accept any national credit card or a debit card as your “ticket” in and out of the garage. No longer do you need to take a paper ticket and worry about keeping track of it.

When your trip is over you can skip stopping at "Pay on Foot" machines in the garage and just drive up to the "Paid Ticket" line and insert the same credit or debit card you used when entering. Your receipt will be printed right after you retrieve your card.

Valet Parking in the Airport Garage Is Closed

Valet parking service at Sea- Tac Airport has closed, effective Monday, February 5. The service has stopped accepting new parkers. Travelers who parked with valet before the 5th will of course be able to pick up their vehicles; the service will be staffed until all cars have been retrieved.

Travelers with disabilities, who need assistance getting from parking to terminal, may arrange for wheelchair service directly with Huntleigh, the company the Port of Seattle has contracted with for this service. To arrange for wheelchair and luggage assistance:

•  Call Huntleigh four to six hours in advance at either (206) 824-2870 or (206) 824-2837. Their office is open daily from 4:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. If you have an early morning flight, please call the night before.

•  Let the dispatcher know what time to meet you, your airline and flight number, and the number of bags you will need assistance with.

Once at the Airport:

•  Park in the ADA designated spaces on either the fourth or fifth floor of the Airport Parking Garage.

•  Huntleigh staff will meet you at one of the color-coded elevator lobbies in the parking garage . It's a good idea to call Huntleigh from your cell phone once you're in the garage.

This service is provided at no charge, but gratuities are greatly appreciated. If you need assistance getting from the airline ticket counter through security and to your gate, you should arrange that directly with your airline.

Another option is to park at Doug Fox Parking . This off-site lot has parking for handicapped-permitted vehicles and has shuttles with wheelchair lifts. The Doug Fox shuttle drops off travelers with disabilities directly in front of their airline on the ticketing level (upper drive) and will pick them up on the baggage claim drive (lower drive).

Parking Alert - Over-Height Vehicles

Due to construction projects, parking in the Airport's over-height parking area (for vehicles 7' and higher) will be very limited for several months. Spaces for over-height handicapped-permitted vehicles will be maintained, but may be moved to accommodate construction. Other parkers with over-height vehicles should use one of the off-airport parking lots during this time.

Hourly Parking Area Located on the Garage's Most Convenient Floor, the Skybridge Level

The busiest parking area in the airport garage - hourly parking - is on most convenient parking area in the garage. The designated hourly parking area is on the fourth floor of the garage – the skybridge level that connects directly to the Main Terminal.

Hourly parkers enter the area via a special lane at the regular garage entrance. The airport charges only $2 for parking for 30 minutes or less.

Daily parking is available for longer-term parkers on the fifth through eighth floors. Hourly parkers can park on any public floor in the garage and still pay the short-term rate.

There Is One Line That's Easy To Avoid at Sea-Tac - It's the Cashier's Booth at the Garage Exit Toll Plaza

Airport visitors who forget to pay for parking on the fourth floor of parking garage are likely to find themselves idling in a long line at the cashier's booth at the airport exit -- while their fellow parkers who paid in advance are breezing through the "paid ticket" lanes.

You can pay for parking on the 4th floor of the garage, just outside the skybridges, at any one of 29 black and yellow pay stations.

Three Easy Steps

  1. Take a parking ticket as you enter the garage. Keep this ticket with you.
  2. As you leave the terminal, insert your ticket in one of the exitxpress pay stations located on the 4th floor of the garage. Pay the parking fee using cash or a major credit card. The machine will validate your ticket.
  3. Insert your validated ticket in the machine at the exit gate as you leave the garage. And off you go!

The machines accept the following U.S. currency: $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills, including the new $20 currency. The machines also accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover Card and Diners Club credit cards.

Dropping Off Travelers at the Airport? Use the Airport Garage

The airport drives can be very crowded and there is absolutely no parking or waiting allowed. The best bet for dropping off travelers is to use the airport garage:

  • Plenty of parking is available, especially on the upper floors.
  • The first two hours of parking cost the same anywhere in the garage.  Park anywhere on the public floors - in Hourly or Daily Parking.
  • You'll stay dry; no matter what the Northwest weather. The garage is connected to the main terminal via skybridges on the 4th floor, so you're covered all the way.
